I’m 11 floors up. And do my best to attract pollinators. This little guy not only decided to visit but was planning to move in. With its own food supply. Now the green caterpillar was heavy and still alive, so the wasp was hard not to notice as it struggled to fly and not drop it’s cargo.
This is where it had decided to live. The rubber nubber that prevents that balcony sliding doors from banging into the frame. It has a nice little hidy hole in it. Overnight the wasp had obviously continued to work to build its larder and had deposited another green snack. Cause that’s what was hanging out, attempting to escape, when I moved the sliding door in the morning.
So glad to have insects visiting the balcony garden. Hope not all of them are importing green caterpillars.
